BITS serves healthcare clients subject to the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA). When we access or process Protected Health Information (PHI) on behalf of a covered entity, we do so as a Business Associate under a signed Business Associate Agreement (BAA). PHI is handled in strict accordance with applicable HIPAA regulations and is never used for any purpose beyond the services described in the BAA.
